Notes from the Club President
On Wednesday, May 16th the club held its regular meeting at the Antioch Township
office on Deep Lake Road. Each May we vote on 3 of the Club Officer positions. This
year the positions of Vice President, Treasurer, and Sargent-at-Arms were on the
ballot. We elected Steve Newton as the Vice President, and Pat Moore was elected
Sargent-at Arms. Terry Colby again agreed to run for Secretary and was unanimously
elected for another term. Congratulations to each of you and many thanks for stepping
up to serve our club!
I would like to extend a special thank you to Terry Colby for her continued hard work as
Secretary of the Club. Each of us tries to do our part to the best of our ability and the
position of Secretary carries with it a significant amount of extra work outside the
normal meetings and events. The club Secretary handles all club correspondence,
maintains dues records, and records the meeting minutes. Terry has helped lead this
club by performing all these tasks flawlessly in the past and I look forward to her
continued help and support in the coming year. Thank you Terry.
This fall we will continue the tradition of a Dinner/Dance for our annual fundraiser. The
fund raising committee is working diligently to put this year’s event on the calendar.
Many details remain to be worked out, but the basics are in the books. Please mark
your calendar for this awesome event!

This year the Antioch 4th of July parade will be held on Wednesday July 4th and will
kickoff at 10:30am. Many of the local Republicans are entered in the parade and will
be looking for your support. Please contact their offices to see what help they may
need.
The political campaign season is in full swing and candidates in both local and national
elections need our support more than ever before. The implications of these elections
are far reaching and may in fact determine the course of our nation and state over the
next several decades. Many of us are spending more time and money to win these
important races. Thank you again for all you do.
Our next meeting will be June 16th at 7pm. I hope to see you there!

Dues Reminder
Club Dues were due at the May meeting!
In 2010 we were able to stem the tide of Democrat destruction by winning back the
House and tempering the Democrat grasp on the US Senate. Can you imagine how
bad things would be without the crucial wins in the House? In 2012 we need to hold
those seats and win back the White House as well.
The Club and the Party need your voice! Your $10.00 membership fee helps cover
the administrative costs for the club and will also be used to support some of our
candidates and their campaigns. But it is your voice and involvement we need most of
all.
While others simply offer their vote on Election Day, the active members of the party
advise the candidates and provide the feedback our elected officials use to shape their
policy decisions. Please keep an open eye for information on the date and time of our
next meeting.
